AFRITAM Leadership Development Programme (LDP)

The AFRITAM Leadership Development Program (ALDP) is a structured, competency-based leadership course designed to develop effective, ethical, and transformational leaders. Delivered over 30 training days across 3 months, the program equips participants with the practical skills, mindset, and tools required to lead individuals, teams, and organisations in dynamic and complex environments. The course combines theory and practice, using interactive learning methods such as case studies, simulations, group discussions, leadership projects, and reflective exercises. Participants apply learning directly to real workplace and community leadership challenges, ensuring immediate and sustainable impact.

The purpose of the AFRITAM Leadership Development Program is to build confident, values-driven, and results-oriented leaders capable of responding to organisational, societal, and global challenges.

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate strong personal leadership competence, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence.
  • Lead and manage people and teams effectively in diverse and changing environments.
  • Apply ethical, inclusive, and accountable leadership practices.
  • Think strategically and make informed decisions aligned with organisational goals.
  • Drive positive change and transformation within their organisations and communities.

Participants are expected to:

  • Have at least 1–3 years of professional or leadership experience
  • Be currently involved in, or preparing for, a leadership or supervisory role
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal growth, ethical leadership, and organisational impact
  • Be willing to actively participate in discussions, group work, and practical assignments
Group Size
  • 20–30 participants per cohort to ensure interactive learning, peer engagement, and effective facilitation.
